Musicbed was born out of a love for film and a love for filmmakers. Every time we see someone inspired to turn on their camera or even sketch a storyboard on a sheet of paper, we feel like the world is a better place because of it. We want to push the creative process forward — whether it’s through a piece of music, a thoughtful article, or live show — and champion the incredible work that’s waiting to be made.
That’s why we’re thrilled to open submissions for the Musicbed Film Initiative, our yearly opportunity to make your passion project a reality.
What short film concept can you not get out of your mind? What documentary subject has led you deeper and deeper into the Wikipedia underbelly? What feature film script have you been sitting on for the past year? Those are the pitches we want to hear. And then we want to help you make them happen.
This is not just a chance to get your latest passion project funded. It’s a chance to see what talented filmmakers like yourself are passionate about as well. Maybe their ideas will spark something for you; maybe yours will spark something for them.
We are constantly amazed at the creativity that comes out of the Musicbed community. You guys are doing some of the best work in the world. We can’t wait to see what ideas you’ve been rolling around in your heads lately.
Here are the details…

Tell us something we won’t forget.
Our in-house panel of judges will select the winning pitches. Prizes include…
